The situation
Three locations in the same drive time band
From Kadelburg, Hohentengen and Waldshut the route to Baden runs along the same axis. If one unit runs short, the journey shifts by a few minutes rather than by half an hour. Hotels in Baden and Brugg charge per room and night, and over an assignment of several weeks that adds up.

The route runs over the Rhine bridges at Bad Zurzach, Koblenz and Kaiserstuhl, all open around the clock and as a rule without waiting. For registering your people in Switzerland the eight day notification rule, and for the posting itself the A1 certificate.

Projects under way
Work in the lower Aare valley runs in three areas, all of them over several years and in stages.
Lupfig and Hausen
In Lupfig the largest Swiss operator is building its fourth data centre, announced for 2027, and on the Reichhold campus next to it another for around 300 million francs. That draws cooling, medium voltage, UPS and cabling work into the same corner of the canton for years.
Aare valley
Both nuclear plants in the lower Aare valley stay on the grid into the 2030s and are being retrofitted continuously for it, alongside hydropower and grid expansion. Outage work and retrofitting have a page of their own: Leibstadt and Beznau nuclear plants.
Baden, Turgi, Untersiggenthal
The Baden area is home to an energy group and a technology group, with research in Dättwil, power electronics in Untersiggenthal and rail traction in Turgi. Plant engineering, electrical work and installation continue there in the existing works, not only in new build.

Suited to Baden

Kadelburg, Hohentengen and Waldshut sit on the axis into the Aare valley. Jestetten is the longest way to Baden and only pays off if you need a large crew at one address.
