Frequently asked questions

Holiday flats, frequently asked questions

Holiday flats on the Hochrhein, between the Black Forest, the Rhine and the Swiss border.

How long can you stay?

From a few nights to several months. The minimum stay is stated with each unit. Longer stays from four weeks have their own terms, just ask us.

What is included in the price?

Electricity, heating, water, internet, bed linen and towels. The broadcasting fee and the visitor's tax are included too, so nothing is added at the end. The final cleaning is shown separately and is stated with each unit.

Is a deposit due?

No.

How does payment work?

Twenty per cent on booking, the rest at the latest 14 days before arrival. For short notice bookings the full amount straight away. Payment by bank transfer, Stripe or PayPal.

Until when can you cancel free of charge?

More than 14 days before arrival, free of charge. After that 50 per cent, less than seven days before arrival 80 per cent. Whatever we still let to someone else we credit against it. You may also send someone else in your place.

And if I booked through Airbnb or Booking?

Then the terms you selected there at the time of booking apply. Depending on the platform they are stricter or milder than ours.

When can you arrive and leave?

The flat is ready from 4 pm, and after that you can arrive at any time, late in the evening included. You get the access code in advance, there is no key handover. Departure by 11 am, later by arrangement.

Are dogs allowed?

By prior arrangement, for 15 euros per animal and night. On the stairs and in the courtyard please keep them on the lead; animals are not allowed on the lawns of the property.

Why do you need the details of everyone travelling?

For guests without German nationality we are required by law to keep a registration form; they sign it on arrival and show identification. For German nationals the registration form was abolished on 1 January 2025. We still need names and home addresses, to know who is staying in the flat, nothing beyond that.

Is there parking?

As a rule yes, free of charge and not individually assigned. Whether a unit has its own parking spaces is stated on its page.

Can you smoke?

Not in the flat and not in the shared areas, e-cigarettes included. Outside gladly, with consideration for the neighbours.

Is there a right of withdrawal?

For accommodation booked for a fixed period the law provides no right of withdrawal. Our cancellation terms above apply instead.
